Geocache Description:

Judge Joseph E. Cook was born May 1, 1892 in Uxbridge , Massachusetts . After graduating from Brown University in 1914, he came to Denver as a reporter for the Rocky Mountain News. He enlisted as a private in the United States Army in 1917 and was elevated to a Lieutenant before his tour was over. Mr. Cook attended Westminster Law School (later University of Denver College of Law). Mr. Joseph E. Cook died in 1963.

Judge Cook’s zeal for youth involved him in almost every organization devoted to their well-being – Cub, Sea and Boy Scouts, Big Brothers, YWCA, YWCA, PTA and many other organizations.

Judge Joseph E. Cook was an extraordinary person overall and one of the greatest attorneys throughout Colorado ’s history. He devoted his life to the youth of Colorado and to families. He also was dedicated to justice and patriotism.

The dedication of Cook Park took place on Sunday morning, September 18, 1966 . (Some excerpts from an article in The Colorado Lawyer, July 1990)

Remember this is a very busy place so be very stealthy when ‘working’ the area.  The cache is magnetic.
