Honey, I'm home! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Changed this to a regular cache in June, 2006. It is now in an old Coleman water jug covered in CAMO DUCT TAPE!!! It is placed in a small northern section of Cedar Bend Park.

New container is water proof, as this area will flood. It is covered with an ample amount of "geoflage" to keep it from floating away. Please replace it well.

I really was taken with this little place. When I stopped here, I couldn't believe all of the wonderful signs of Ma Natures work around me. The ice was still thick on the Cedar, and it was covered with many tracks. The area has a number of large epiphytes (plants that grow on other plants.) Beaver work is evident. The tree in which the cache is placed is well capable of defending itself. Snagged and fallen trees await their turn to be recycled. I hope you enjoy this area as much as I did.

The tree that this cache is hidden in gave me the name for the cache.

While this is in Cedar Bend Park, driving into the park from the south will not let you get to this cache.

Happy hunting and as always - GO KNIGHTS!!!
