Geocache Description:

A 2 Stage Mystery Cache Located Cold Creek Conservation Area, North/East of Bolton. Be prepared to Hike!

The Cache is not at the posted coodrinates, but is somewhere along the 6.5km loop trail within Cold Creek Conservation Area. The given coordinates are for the trailhead... To locate this cache, you must hike the loop trail and locate the "Halfway House Rest Stop" (See Picture)

*NOTE: The rest stop no longer has a sign, but it doesn't take a genius to determine that the halfway house rest stop is probably half way around the 6.5km loop trail.

The rest stop is at: N 43° 54.436 W 079° 41.643, however, it appears the seats have been changed, so the tags have gone with them. Until I get out to replace them, here's a free redirect:

The final cache is located at: N 43° 54.583 W 079° 41.645

There you will find a nice place to sit and enjoy the view. Attached to your seat (There are 3) you should find a brass tag which contains the coordinates for the Southern Slope Geocache!

This cache was originally hidden as part of the Home on the Moraine series, but has now been transitioned to a regular cache hide.

Cold Creek Conservation Area is located on the East side of 11th Concession 3km North of King Road. You can park at the Gate and enter the Conservation Area at: N43 55.185 W79 42.290

The cache container is a camouflage painted .30 caliber Ammo Box 10" x 7" x 3"

The Oak Ridges Moraine extends 160 kilometres from the Niagara Escarpment in the west to the Trent River system in the east, and is on average 13 kilometres wide. One-hundred-and-fifty metres deep, the Moraine stands out as one of the most distinct landscapes of southern Ontario. Its height above the flat lands to the north and south, its rolling hills and river and stream valleys and large blocks of mixed forest provide solace and a sense of connection to the people who live, work and play on the Moraine, natural and wild habitat for flora and fauna, and untapped recreational opportunities.

NOTES:
  1. Watch out for Retriever Training activities.
  2. Winter friendly, though it will be under some snow.
  3. Family friendly.
  4. Bicycles allowed.
