Offroad location could be accessed in a 2wd high clearance vehicle, ATV, motocross bike, etc., with a brief hike at roads end.
The cache is located a short walk up Isham Canyon, an area steeped in Death Valley history. I say short walk but there are a few folks who can actually drive to the cache site when the road appears to end for the rest of us. Offroad clubs come here to test their mettle on a trail that is rated "body damage likely". You however do not need such steely nerves or the heavy duty 4x4 equipment to recover the cache. A Google search might return some interesting information about this area including the Escape Trail Conference which endeavors to keep the history of these places alive. If your powers of observation are keen, you may notice a few of the ET trail markers as you travel to the "end" of the road.
Since the road into this place is not intuitive, I have included a waypoint for the turn off from the Valley Sand & Gravel road North of Trona.
The cache is in a large, round plastic container placed so that it can easily be found by someone who is looking for it. No climbing the canyon walls is required.
Take the usual offroad desert location safety precautions while hunting this cache--- let someone know where you are going, take water, watch for deadly critters (snakes, etc), prepare for the weather!
Cache originally included White Jeep TB, Viking Escape TB, a small key chain knife, bubbles, 4 miscellaneous plastic toys & a spiral bound index card log book.
