Stolen Thunder Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hunt&Peck: I walked the cache and checked each part carefully. In four and a half years there have been 17 finders. The cache has outlived its day. I simply don't believe there is an interest in a cache of this nature. Therefore, I decided to archive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a five part Multi Cache in a pleasant wooded area.

A few days ago, I was in this area checking on my Night Pines cache. I found out that it had been stolen. Everything was missing, including a travel bug, which mysteriously appeared in an Iowa City cache a few days later. During this disappointing afternoon, the weatherman decided to treat me to some rain. That bit of weather included some grand claps of thunder. Now you know the reason I named this cache “Stolen Thunder.”

This multi-cache consists of four micros about the size of 35mm film containers and a large ketchup container. The micros aren’t hidden in any devious manner nor are they difficult to find. What you will find is that the density of this forest will cause all kinds of crazy readings to appear on your GPS receiver. I predict that you will have your hands full with almost every part of this cache. Oh, part one is a yawner and so is the final—if you get that far.

Each micro contains only the coordinates for the next hunt. However, if you would like to deposit a toll as you go along, the next geocacher wouldn’t mind, I’m sure. The containers are large enough to hold quarters or even dollar coins. Let your conscience be your guide.

I have included two hints. I may add more hints if you really feel they are needed. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the hunt.
