Geocache Description:

Sweet dreams are made of these. Six caches spread throughout the maple sugar bushes of Wilberforce and Greater Surroundings(W.G.S.)offering you the opportunity to visit six different Maple Syrup operations. See how sap turns to syrup; gather a little information; and experience a real sugar high.

To fortify you for an exhilarating day of geocaching fill up on pancakes smothered in maple syrup at the Maple Syrup Festival in the Lloyd Watson Centre Wilberforce. Flap-jacks are flipped from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m., all you can eat for only $5.00 (There’s also craft and flea-market tables to amuse you.)
Then, when you’re finally full trot your sugar-saturated self and fellow team members over to the Geocaching table between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Give your team a name (obviously something sweet or sappy would be appropriate) and sign in. We’ll explain how the games going to play out, give you info on each cache and provide a big map to help you plan your strategy. Then you’re off to a rolling boil. You have till 6:00 p.m. to visit all 6 sugar shacks, find the caches and accumulate points. How the points are gained will be self evident at each cache. At 6:00 p.m. we’ll all meet up at Elephant Lake Lodge in Harcourt where we’ll tally up your points, declare a winner and present .... but what else ..... a bottle of Maple Syrup. Sweet eh !!
If you finish early and the pancakes have finally worn off feel free to head to the Lodge and indulge in dinner before the 6p.m. deadline. Whereas, those who need every minute of the allotted time are more than welcome to dine after the “Award Ceremony” Or if you’re still stuffed from pigging out on the pancakes just stick around to “whisper sweet nothings” about the days fun. I hope that didn’t sound too sappy. Whatever you choose this day’s adventure is one “sweet deal” you won’t want to miss.
