***Congratulations to Kashiree Q for FTF***
U.S. Route 66 is affectionately called the "Mother Road." It went from Chicago to Los Angeles. It was the subject of a TV show and a popular song, "Get Your Kicks On Route 66." The U.S. Route 66 has been decommissioned and replaced by Interstates. Between OKC and the northeast corner of Oklahoma, it is now called State Highway 66. In some places you can even still see the original road bed. Let's go see it!!
The cache container is an m&m's minis candy container. It is a plastic tube about four inches long and about an inch in diameter. The tube is painted in camouflage. There are no trading items or writing instrument. There's only a log sheet.
**NOTE** Cowboy Singer has honored us by passing the torch to us to continue the travel along Route 66 in the Eastern part of the state.
As always, it is your decision to look at every cache and make the determination if you feel comfortable or safe hunting it.
