Geocache Description:

magnetic key holder, BYOP, quick P&G

Well what more can i say about a little ole towns old jail house... Please read the web page to read so much great info on such a little town that was once almost made into something much bigger, This town and area is full of great history and historical markers just across the HWY from this cache is some markers with lots of great info as well as just around the corner a big two story white house that has a marker on it as it was almost made into the first Sherton hotel ever but the oil boom was depleted before completion.

Here is just one insert from a one time jailbird in this town but only if you read the webpage above will you find out so much more. said Quince Cox;
At 92, Cox may have lived in Wortham longer than any other resident. By his own account he was the first man ever to spend a night in the "new" Wortham jail. That was in 1929, when he was 25 and he and his brother rolled a neighbor's barbecue pit into the street for a prank and a truck ran over it.

So while out caching bring your pen along and checkout the area as there is so much history here that anyone could spend a good day reading and seeing all the good stuff and check out all the other caches in the area as well..
