Abandon Hope Multi-Cache
Derringer: Hope abandoned!!!
Sentinel Fire maps indicate this cache has been cooked.
There is little chance it survived the flames.[:(]
It, and many others will be replaced and remnants removed over the coming year.
On the bright side it means lots of High Country trips [:D]

During the Gold rush of 1864, Four reefs were worked on the Good Hope Spur.
These reefs were the best performing mines in the Crooked River Goldfields.
The Good Hope Consolidated Mining company was responsible for the development of the gold mining operation.
In 1865 they erected a 12 head battery stamper to crush rock and extract gold from the 4 adits.
The stamper was powered by a portable 10hp steam engine and Cornish boiler.
The Good Hope mine was worked from 1865 to 1906 producing around 23,300oz of gold.
Its best years were from 1865 to 1870 when the mine yielded 20,000oz of gold.
