Located in a less-traveled corner of Huntley Meadows, the trail to this cache will take you five miles (round trip) through thick woods and alongside Barnyard Run, home to many varieties of waterfowl. Parts of the trail may be covered by water at times. A trivial matter to cross in drier weather, one should expect to get muddy shoes and/or have to skirt around deeper puddles in the rainy season.
The cache can be accessed by parking at the Huntley Meadows Park parking area at the corner of Harrison Lane and Lockheed Blvd and following a series of trails. Evident on a map, one will see possible closer access points, but note that a bog may impede approach from the community backing the park SE of the cache.
Rubbermaid container in a typical location. Difficulty based on length of hike and sloppy terrain.
