Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The stated coordinates are for downtown Cobourg, NOT the location of the cache or the site of the Salsa Jar. You will visit three locations before finding the cache. First: Find the location of the Salsa Jar shown in the photo. It can be found on the outskirts of Cobourg’s town boundary. If needed, Clue #1 may get you looking in the approximate vicinity. Once you locate the Salsa Jar, stop as close as possible on the shoulder of the country road it is located on and write down the phone number shown on the jar. You should not need to leave your vehicle.

Use the numbers to get the coordinates to your first stop, which is located on an unmaintained road allowance. We strongly suggest parking and walking, as very few vehicles that venture up this road make it out without assistance! Rubber boots may be necessary in the spring.

Second: At this site you will find a marker. Your need to find the first phone number on the marker and record it:

Third: Use the numbers to get the coordinates to the next stop, a micro.

Here you will find the coordinates to the final cache. WARNING: There is some poison ivy at this location, but you can step around it. Please return the cover over the micro to keep it well hidden. Note: A snow fall may make finding the micro a little more difficult.

Fourth: The final stop is a regular size cache with plenty of room for trades and Travel Bugs. Everyone is encouraged to make trades as my son loves to visit our caches to make trades as well.
