DresselDragons: The girls and I headed out tonight to check on this cache. When I parked the car, I knew it was not going to be good. We hoofed it up the freshly moved dirt piles to our final stage. I had a moment of hope when I saw trees as we approached ground zero, but it was fleeting hope. Brenda found the shattered remains of our cache. We dug through the dirt for what swag we could. I was pleased that we were able to recover the logbook, and even happier that there were no travelers in the cache when the backhoe got friendly with it. We headed down to the first stage and removed it from its hiding place. This pie (cache) has been baked, rebaked, and now it's toast. Thank-you to everyone that visited this cache, and an extra special thanks to Forest Guardian for alerting us to the construction activities. When the construction ends, maybe we'll return to place another cache, but until then...EAT DESSERT FIRST!
