Geocache Description:

Located half way in between the Equator and the North Pole. Depending on how you come at this one is how difficult the terrain. It's best to take the little gravel road off of Highway 395.

You are looking for a cammo painted viatamin jar. It contains a log book and a few small trading items. Small travel bugs can be added. There is currently no writing utensil, so please have a pen or pencil handy. This is one of my most favorite drives. It's so beautiful from Camas Creek to the Middle Fork of the John Day River. It's a great area for many activities. There are several camp grounds up the North Fork, numerous fishing holes, floating down the river, four-wheeling, hiking, hunting and just plain old relaxing. You can often see deer, elk, coyotes and bears on the hillsides or banks of the rivers. This is a nice cache to find if you just want to go for a drive and see the beauty of the mountains. As a kid, we spent alot of time coming and going on this road. My dad almost always commented on crossing the 45th Parallel. So this is a special hide for me. Please be respectful of mother nature. Thanks for stopping by and sharing this hide with me.
