Geocache Description:

An easy cache within easy walking distance of the start point

Take a walk or cycle around this area of Nelson and identify the common theme in the street names.
There are at least 20 streets named after famous people. See how many you or your kids can identify and for the real keen christian names as well.

You will need to do some homework before starting the hunt. The final cache is at
S41 GC CAG E 173 GE.BFD.

Now for the homework.

Identify the following poet’s surnames, each letter corresponds the number of letters in their surname.

A = Percy Bysshe are the Christian names of ______________
B = “Endymion” is a poem by John _______________
C = Alfred __________ penned “The lady of Shalott”
D = “The magpie” by NZ poet Denis _____________

Now make your way to S41 19.044 E173 13.502 to find a sign with the name of the reserve. There are many ways and directions to reach this location, I suggest parking close and walking it.

E = the number of words in the reserve name on the sign.

Carry on to S41.19.016 E173 13.578 to a piece of art.

F = The number of horizontal pieces on both structures minus 19
G = The number of streams flowing through this reserve.

Now you have all the coordinates you need to make your way to the cache. You can walk, cycle or drive the short distance to the final cache and in keeping with the theme please enter the name of your favorite (or any) poet in the log.
