Geocache Description:

located 30' off a trail on your way from the parking area to a corps of engineer Dam.

This is a great place to Kayak or canoe, I have even seen people flying a kite from the top of the damn.

Here is my first Letterbox cache. Inside you will find a stamp, stamp pad and log book. As well as whatever someone decides to leave behind.
This box is just big enough for some small items and smaller Travel Bugs.
In the spirit of the letter box when you visit
"YOU WILL HAVE TO BRING A PERSONAL STAMP OF YOUR OWN TO STAMP MY LOG BOOK TO GET CREDIT FOR THIS FIND"
I have included a stamp in the box to stamp your own log book if you have one.
Please
“DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP”
You can use the stamp in the cache to stamp you log book if you have one.
The area is a well visited fishing, kayaking and canoeing reservoir. Motor boats are not allowed to go faster then 5mph and have a size limit.
I have taken many beginning kayakers here to learn the basics, including Isabeau. The wind can pick up quickly turning a relatively placid lake into a very wavy ride.
I have seen the water rise to cover the entire parking lot in early spring so time your visit well.
Take time to walk up to the dam and read the history of the construction of this dam.
Afterward you can travel a few minutes up the road to Knightville dam, which does not get quite as full as Littleville but has some nice hikes into the mountains and a couple of geocaches.
