Geocache Description:

Located in a well used but not really well known city park system, this is a multi-stage cache that is near decent paths, but which will require some light bushwhacking to complete. We hid it a little harder than many we've done and so we rated it at a 3 - though there is no extremely strenuous climbing or anything. Please note that stage 2 is not in the same area as stage 1. We suggest driving between the two.

We wanted another multi-cache to follow our first. That one got such good reviews we decided to do one similar. The first stage is a micro that is fairly well hidden. Inside that are coords for the main cache which is full of gardening-type swag. The 2nd cache is a very well hidden small ammo box. It will be hard to find - at least it will take a bit of searching we hope. This cache is dedicated to my mom who lived to work in her flower and vegetable gardens each year. Hopefully someone will grab the box of wildflowers and enjoy them yet this year. The contents to start with are: wind chimes, a bird house, a box of wildflower seed, a Wind Twister, garden shears, a garden thermometer, and a pair of garden gloves. There's a Sacagawea Dollar coin as an FTF prize. And, there's also our first travel bug - Fred. D. Frog. He's got a tough, 3-month mission ahead of him, so please help him on his way to Louisville, KY if you can!

*****Bug Repellent Highly Recommended!***** .

PLEASE!!!! At stage 2 you will do a little bushwhacking off the main trail - a very short distance. It is not necessary to go into the valley and trample the ferns....you can approach from the west without trampling anything - you'll just have to push a few branches out of the way. This is a nature preserve and we'd really not like to get our caches pulled because someone is ripping up the area or putting trails through the really beautiful fern gulleys. We're trying to show support for these woods and don't want to end up like they are in Ann Arbor with trying to ban our sport.

And thanks to everyone who's come here so far! We hope you enjoyed your hike.
