Located by the lake in the heart of Merimbula is a memorial. As a point of interest or reminder as to the purpose of the memorial they have located a 25 pounder here. Easy access for all but a few muggles around at times.

The 25 pounder was a key piece of artillery for the Australian Armed Forces for 30 or so years. This one has retired here and if used where presently aimed about all it would harm are the pelicans it might collect as the projectile sailed out toward the horizon.
This cache is a micro and is well concealed. It will take some finding. Please take care as this can be a busy little area and jubilation or obvious efforts will jeopardise the future of this one.
The view from this location is worth millions of dollars, just ask those who own houses over the road! A fibro beach shack not more than a few hundred metres from here sold for over 3 million a few years ago - funnily enough it's been redeveloped now.
