Geocache Description:

Family style cache, takes less than an hour. I wouldn't consider this 100% handicap accessible.

A nice cache that can be done by the whole family. Whether you are out for a bite to eat, on your way home or on your way to work, it's a quick cache in a beautiful and quiet location, and you shouldn't get dirty either.........well, unless you want to. As I read the logs..........this is a safe cache.....do not access it by parking on M-119 Round Lake Nature Preserve Land that is not the Round Lake Preserve was once used by Native Americans as part of the Inland Water Route which travels 40 miles through several lakes, eventually emptying into Lake Huron in Cheboygan. The original 40-acre preserve was donated to the Little Traverse Conservancy by the Wrigley Offield Family in 1980 with additional acreage purchased in 1984-96 by the people of L'Arbre Croche. The vegetation includes mixed hardwoods and conifer forest, lowland cedar swamp, and marshlands along the lake The habitats provide homes and food for a variety of wildlife including raccoons, deer, woodpeckers, loons, and many others. About the Little Traverse Conservancy Founded in 1972, the Little Traverse Conservancy is a nonprofit organization working to protect the natural diversity and beauty of northern Michigan. The Conservancy protects significant natural land and scenic areas and provides opportunities to appreciate and understand the environment. The Conservancy has helped to protect over 35,400 acres of land. www.landtrust.org
