Geocache Description:

This Cache is based the largest rescue operation in USAF History which also included the expertise of the NAVY S.E.A.L.s!

It's April 6, 1972 and Lt. Norris and his team of SEALs are going under cover to pick up Hambleton after a failed pick-up earlier. This time while Hambleton is making his movements down stream, Lt. Norris and crew went undercover as Vietnamese farmers moving a load up stream and snuck past the VC partol boats to rescue Hambleton and bring him back under the cover of darkness.

As Hambleton made the call to report his next position at the wreckage and a failed pick up he continues down the stream in hopes of finding a better site to be picked up. Continuing in his golfing ways he uses 4 of his favorite holes to get to his final pick-up point: 8th Redgate, 5th Augusta, 1st St. Andrews (old), and 15th at Pebble Beach.

Good luck! and come back alive!

This cache was originally like Bat 21- Hambleton but has since gone to the traditional style Multicache so you will get the coords for the next at each stage. There are 5 stages in all and will take you on a round about trip of 3 miles along Difficult Run. There is also no need to get off trail as each stage is within 10 to 50 feet of the trail.
