This cache is located along MTRP Big Rock Park trail not far from the Cowles Mountain service road. Includes a steep uphill walk along the service road starting from the Barker Way trailhead. The tennis-ball container is located a few steps east of the Big Rock Park trail along a minor side trail.
Mission Trails Regional Park is a Geocaching paradise. Over the past few years it has attracted caches into each and every section of the park. Hides can be found along the easiest and along the very hardest trails of this delightful mountainous area. One can spend days finding all of the hides.
Local Geocachers were once proud to claim that they had found all of the MTRP caches. Local Geocachers that are wise to the ways of MTRP caching have learned not to boast of their achievement because such a boast will definitely be answered by one or more new placements.
Nothing worse than clearing out the MTRP finds time after time and then receiving a notification next day or so that there's another new cache out in the MTRP wilds.
When that happens what can y' really say? I say "Why I oughta ...."
