Located in Geneseo's Prairie Park. The hiking trails can be accessed from three sides.
This is a 63 acre park - mainly nature park. Local Scouts have labeled many trees/plants on trails. Recently in the news for a rare 'Fen' area.
All Geneseo parks close at 10pm. Pets must be leashed. Nearby camping.
Fire Damage in the Park/Trails: April 13, 2006. It was not a controlled burn. Apparently the street department was burning the brush pile when the wind picked up and took off into the woods. It was not a controlled burn. The damage to the trails was from the fire trucks working through the trails. I'm told it was actually a good thing to have that happen, it will give new life to that area. Keep an eye on it and see what happens!
