Geocache Description:

Come and join us for a pot-luck style gathering with games and food at a beautiful park. Fun for all kids, dogs, and adults alike on June 11th at 11am.

This is my first event that I am putting on and I'd like to make it an annual thing. My mom, memacheryl, is helping me with the planning and organizing of this event. It should be a lot of fun. We have some games to play and prizes to be won. Some of the prizes include: a package to Spirit Mountain Casino worth $110, an annual Groundspeak membership certificate, starbucks cards, and tons of other goodies. You will have to see it to believe it!! We will be having a hamburger/hot dog barbeque lunch. There is plenty of room at the park for everyone including the dog, on leash. There are play structures and a swimming area for the kids, so be sure to bring a towel and swimsuit. We will have some organized games for the kids if they would like to particapate and a few caches in the park for the adults, not to mention a couple of geo-games we are lining up for the event. We will also have horsehoes, badmiton, bocci ball, and more. The park has a $2 admission per car to get in. The admission fee is used for the upkeep of our beautiful parks. You can park on the road just outside of the park and walk in if you would like, but it is a bit of a walk to the shelter though.

This is a potluck style event so if you could bring a side dish, please do. I will be bringing the beverages, paper plates, utensils, hot dogs and hamburgers. I will leave it up to you all to bring the side dishes and desserts. On your log entry, if you are coming to the event, please post how many will be in your party and the type of dish you can bring so others can get an idea of what they will bring. Don't forget your lawnchair and sunscreen! See you there!!

I am hoping for a good turn out of people, so don't be shy! Bring the whole family whether they are cachers or not, there is plenty to do for all. The above coords are for the parking area directly next to the shelter that I have reserved. The name of the structure is "Filbert" and is marked as such. I hope to see you all there!

I will be at the park with memacheryl at 10:00 am to set up and get ready. The offical start time of the gathering will be June 11th at 11:00 am.. If you want to come early no problem... there is plenty of park to explore or you can help with the set up if you like.
