Located near the Wills Bay Tide Pools. Start at Carambola Beach Hotel and hike the trail west. Some parts of the trail are steep. The hike to the cache is about 3 miles round trip.
The cache is in a "Lock & Lock" plastic storage box. It is hidden under rocks. The cache is hidden near the beach area of Wills Bay. The tide pools themselves are reached after scrambling around and over the rocks to the west of the cache.
Drive to Carambola Beach Resort and park your car up the hill from the guard gate in the designated areas. A bit further up the hill at N17 45.606 W64 49.844 is the trailhead which is marked with a sign. The trail follows the hillsides through woodlands behind and around the resort. Once you are past the hotel water treatment plant you hear only the sounds of nature... Hermit crabs scurrying in the leaves, birds calling and the ocean surf on the beach at the bottom of the cliff. After coming clear of the woods and walking through some tall grass, the trail turns a sharp left, back into trees and down a gentle slope. You'll eventually come to a dirt road that leads to the beach (yes, you could have driven your 4x4 or taken a tour group Jeep ride to get here.)
The cache was relocated 5/25/2009 to the East end of the beach. The cache has a few toys, a geocoin and the log book Make a trade and log your visit.
