Geocache Description:

Pleasant easy walk around a small nature reserve

Lechmire pastures used to be a coal store for the nearby colliery, When the pit closed and the coal was removed the compacted ground started to gather large areas of water. Spread over 13 Hectares Lechmire pastures now features pond, grassland which is home to 14 different species of Dragonflies. There are also a wide range of birds such as Lapwings, Linnets, Skylark's, Reed buntings and even an Osprey has been seen recently.
You can park near - N 53 44.590 W 001 21.536
Please do not enter the fenced area as birds are nesting, you can locate the cache without steping foot over the fence also.
