Geocache Description:

Cache is located at Saddle Creek Park. You are searching for a large food container. You may be able to park within 20 feet of the cache.

Saddle Creek is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. It is one of a collection of 446 sites throughout Florida selected for their excellent birdwatching or bird education opportunities.

Most of the area's large wading birds can be readily found in the old phosphate pits near the main park road. Short-tailed Hawks have been seen year round. The song bird migration starts in late July and ends about the first of November.

The best birding is on the nature trail starting at the northeastern end of the park and there are numerous caches placed in that area. The local Audubon society sponsor bird walks on Saturday mornings throughout the fall.
