Geocache Description:

This cache located along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in Scranton Pennsylvania. The terrain is relatively flat and it makes for a nice hike along the Lackawanna River. If you are driving, park along a side street and enter the trail at 41 26.262, 075 39.297.

This is great cache for city slickers who want to walk in a natural setting without even leaving the city. The trail is maintained by the Lackawanna River Corridor Assaociation. The LRCA is a non-profit organization that tries to raise awareness about the beauty and fragility of the Lackawanna River and its watershed. The trail will take you about half a mile northward along the river. The cache is only about half this distance but I recommend that you hike this entire trail just to appreciate it. The cache itself is a small blue-lidded plastic container. Bring small items such as key chains, trading cards, toy cars, etc. Please replace the cache exactly as you found it. Good Luck!
