This is a cache for sea kayakers or boaties.
Bay Rock is a small Island in Cleveland Bay, just west of Magnetic Island. The island used to house a small lighthouse which was originally built in 1866. The lighthouse has since been relocated to Townsville but some of the foundations can still be seen.
There are still some signs of habitation on the island, such as a small rock wall that was hand built many years ago. It is near here that you will find the cache.
