Geocache Description:

Located in the Weedon Island Preserve, along the shores of Old Tampa Bay. The cache is a bison in a hanging camo-bag.

Cache Update as of 7/14/2007: Since the original cache location has been twice compromised we decided to move the cache slightly and change the container to a bison inside a hanging cammo bag. Happy Caching!

The trek to this cache will take you through the Preserve's upland communities and even through the shoreline mangrove-lined trails. Access to ground-zero is dependent on the local tides...during low tide, there is a mostly-dry foot trail through the mangroves. If you decide to brave high tide, you will be wading almost up to your knees, which really is especially refreshing during the summer heat! :-) Be sure to come prepared!
