Geocache Description:

Open common land covered in grass and bracken on a hillside.

Garway Hill is a little known piece of common land with fabulous views of the Black Mountains to the west and Malverns to the east with a patchwork of countryside in between. There is an earthwork enclosure of possible iron age in origin on top. Ponies and sheep graze freely amongst the bracken and heather. Red Kites are also frequently seen.

Although there is limited parking space at the start co-ordinates - N51 55.123 W002 48.590 - they are at the end of a very rough track so it may be better to park on the minor road (near The Sun)and walk to the start.

Go to the information board at N51 55.123 W002 48.594 and look for the telephone number which is just above the web address www.herefordshirewt.org that begins with the code 01432. The next 6 numbers in sequence represent ABCDEF.

Now go to the co-ordinates N51 55.FD(D-E) W002 49.(D-C)F(D-B-A) Here you will find four numbers preceded by the letter S. These numbers in sequence represent GHJK

You will now be able to find the cache at N51 55.A(K-H)(K-H) W002 49.J(K-F)K

The main cache is an Ammo Box.

Congratulations to SidAndBob who was the first to find this Geocache.
