This cache is located by the info centre at the north entrance to Vernon. The actual cache is located at N50 17.896 W119 15.291, BUT if you come from the south leaving Vernon, turn off Highway 97 at Stickle Road, the access road to the Silver Star RV Park. The coords at the top of the cache page is basically where you would park if you turned off here.
The cache holds a gift to you from the City of Vernon, and a log book and pencil. No trading please! Just take a gift! REMEMBER: For safety's sake if you are heading north out of Vernon than you should turn left onto Stickle Road as per the coords at the top of the page and park, then go to the final cache. If you are heading south into Vernon, then you can go into the info centre parking & go directly to the final cache. We have a good variety of caches, including letterbox and puzzle caches, with a good range of difficulty and terrain that will keep you busy geo-caching for a day or two, and include no hikes, short hikes and long hikes. Many of our caches have a view of one or more of the three lakes that fan out from our great city, or are by one of our creeks. There are even caches to view our infamous murals throughout our downtown area. For added fun, combine your geocaching adventure with one of our major events: Winter Carnival, Sunshine Festival, Apple Fest, Creative Chaos, Potters Sale, Annual Funtastic Ball Tournament & Summer Festival, Cowboy Festival, or the Wine Festival. For history visit the O’Keefe Ranch, for summer fun check out our beaches on Kalamalka Lake or Okanagan Lake, go to the Atlantis Water Slide, go on a wine tour, or enjoy the produce from one of our local fruit stands.
