The Magic School Bus Inside the Earth
This series of caches is inspired by the excellent Magic School Bus
books by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen. Each one contains a clue for
the final cache in the series, and each one has initial content
and/or location that is appropriate for the book it represents.
Although there is an active caving club in the triangle,
there are no caves in the area. So, we opted for another way of
getting into the earth ... a quarry. The quarry folks didn't want
us too close, though, so we ended up moving across I-40 to a
beautiful area. If you use your imagination, you can almost see the
edge of the huge quarry that is right across I-40 from this
spot.
Cache is a decon container, and original contents were relevant,
but trades don't have to be. Walk on down the fence to see what
used to be a bike ... I'm not sure how far this trail goes, but I'd
like to find out someday.
