Terrain difficulty depends on the route you choose to take. There is an Advanced Mountaineer Bushwacking route and a Follow the Trail route. You figure it out! (Or decode the clues.)
A portion of this hike follows the Mesabi Trail, a paved hike/bike/skate path that follows the route of an old railway line. There are several ways to access the Mesabi Trail - the closest to this cache is to head N on the dirt trail from N 47 26.294 W 092 55.306. This hike is worth the effort - you'll get a Minnesota Man-made Rocky Mountain High at the cache site and if you explore the area you'll discover evidence supporting the theory that men are just boys with big toys. Container is a plastic lock box with room for small items. CAUTION: Wear blaze orange in October and skip this cache during November.
