A four legged buddy of ours resides near this site. He likes the
nearby water but wants to travel in the worst way. He thinks he is
a travel bug or something. If you see him just ignore his
pleadings, his role is to keep this cache safe. No travel for him!
Wandering through the salt cedar groves of the Las Vegas Wash is
usually an intriguing adventure. You ask yourself: Why is this
trail here? Where does it go? Who made it? Why was this stuff left
here? Who left it? How long has this path been such a secret route?
Why are we traveling through such a dark, mysterious salt cedar
forest? Is this the Black Forest of the west?
This cache may be accessed from Sunset Road then left on Pabco
Road, turning right onto a paved road that takes you around the
east perimeter of a water reclamation plant and then turns to dirt.
You will have to cross one wash from this direction and it will
have water in it.
This is an easy travel during dry weather but may be very muddy
and impassible following rainstorms. As always take water with you
and watch out for critters and Robin Hood.
