Cache is located in Kew Bush Invercargill. Adjacent to Kew Hospital. GPS coverage patchy at times and track maybe under water at some times.
The cache is a small container well hidden at ground level. When hidden it originally contained various trading items, Log book, pen & pencil.
The walking track begins on Elles Road by the Kingswell stream bridge. Access can also be gained from the No 1 Hospital service entrance further North on Elles road, track starting by picnic table and signs. Track loops around to join the cycle tracks behind the hospital to Kew road and reserve access to Bluff road. Parking inside the hospital grounds is limited but ample parking space available on main streets.
Kew Bush is one of the last remaining stands of native bush within the City boundary with many Kahikatea NZ White Pine, and an example of what most of Invercargill was like in the early 19th century. At times tracks can be under water after heavy rain. Good boots are recommended to keep your feet dry.
