Måstad is accessible via a trail on the north side of the island (or by boat).
The hike is about 6.5km (one way).
It is 10 km from the ferry to where the trail starts (N67 40.964 E012 39.180).
There are several nice places for camping!
Bring a tent if you can!
You find excellent water in a well in Måstad, pos N67 38.418 E012 35.848.
Måstad was a settlement with 150 inhabitants. This was in the period between the ww1 and ww2. There was a school and store.
Måstad was abandoned in 1974.
Many of the houses was dismantled and moved.
The houses left in Måstad are used for recreational purpose.
Måstad is known for it special dog, Lundehund, it is bred to specialise in catching puffins.
