Stage 1: Proceed to posted coordinates. Look closely and use
some imagination and you'll realize you're behind home plate. Here
is where I first played what was then known as "midget league"
baseball, back in the days before the "tee" existed. At these
coordinates you'll find a number; remove the leading digit and the
dash and you'll be left with a six-digit number, X.
Stage 2: To get here you'll need to complete the 'minutes' part
of N31(Y) W085(Z), where: Y=X-89394 and Z=X-90063 If you've done
your math correctly you should find yourself about right-center
field where I first played Little League ball. Lefties had an
easier time at "taking one out" than the rest of us, so I taught
myself to switch hit. If you're in the right position you'll find
all the necessary information to get you to the cache.
UPDATE 7/19/07: Recent construction/destruction has rendered any
semblance of a ballfield moot. Trust me, tho, it WAS there, as IS
stage 2.
Stage 3: You're here. Although this park is still used it
doesn't seem to have the life it did 30+ years ago. This park is
where I finished Little League, played Pony League, and later adult
softball before moving away. Sign the log & rehide carefully to
avoid muggles, and think back on your own glory days! **
Congratulations CCINDY/BUBB for FTF! **
