Geocache Description:

This multi cache is going to test your Letterbox skills, it will have you loping around the park. This multi is a "Cache In" cache and was placed for our CITO event, ECO 2006.

This cache begins with a GPS guided journey to a very pretty location in the park. Once you arrive you need to look for your letterbox instructions so that you can begin your sally. From this location you will be able to look north and see a green manmade feature that is approximately 100 feet away. Lining up with the north end, it took me 32 steps to reach that green manmade feature. You can use this information to set your step ratio though there will be chances to correct this number along the walk. Once you find the letterbox style instructions you can take your mind off your GPS for awhile and enjoy a walk in the park.

"A Walk in the Park" is the most popular of all geocache names and parks around the world are popular geocaching destinations.

I chose this feature for a start point because the sentiment expressed is one I agree with totally, there is also a certain sense of poignancy that I get when reading the words here, take heed.

The letterbox instructions make this geocache different. A letterbox hunt does not depend upon coordinates but relies instead on descriptions, sometimes cryptic, telling you how to find the container. Simple math may be required as everyone will pace distances differently.

This particular cache requires a GPS but it also requires letterboxing skills, it cannot be completed unless you follow the letterbox style instructions. This cache allows geocachers to practice letterboxing skills. When you find the instructions the word "continue" presumes that you have used the parking co-ordinates given.

You may encounter rattlesnakes or black widow spiders when walking anywhere around Medicine Hat, they are not common but they are not unusual. This cache is winter accessible. Expect to see other people walking dogs and hiking, you may be observed by non-geocachers if you are not careful. The clues will be a big help here and the difficulty is mainly due to the letterboxing.

Please let others know how you feel about this cache by making an entry in the online log here on geocaching.com.
