Edgar laid an Egg! Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

~Marvalus: This has had a good long run. I've moved from the area, and was just notified by a caching friend that even stage one is no longer available. The woman working there told him that she didn't think it still existed.
Rest in Peace, Edgar!!

Geocache Description:

This cache is located at Capen Hill Bird Sanctuary, with all stages no more than 20' off marked trails. This cache was placed with two 3 year olds in tow and they did fine on the hike.

Thanks to Birdsong-n-Bud for their description, most of which is being "borrowed" for this cache! This cache has been placed to replace the "Wounded Crow" cache which has been archived.

No dogs are allowed on this property, as it is a nature preserve. No real bushwacking required, but there were some branches down over the trails in some spots when the cache was placed, so you may have to step over or walk around them.

Final cache is large lock and lock container full of goodies for all ages. This is a safe place during hunting season, as no hunting is allowed here, ever. This can be done in the snow, although the final may be obscured with snowcover though it is protected.

Caching is allowed while the sanctuary is not open, but please respect management's request to only cache between dawn and dusk, as the caretakers do live on the property. The visitor center is open during these hours:

Monday – Friday: 9:00 – 5:00
Sat & Sun: 10:00 – 4:00

The visitor center has trail maps if you wish to pick one up. Also, enjoy the animals inside the visitor center that are under their care.

The above coordinates lead you to the parking lot of the sanctuary, in front of the visitor center.

“When you get there, then where should you go?
Don’t ask me -- why, you must go ask the crow!”

You will need to use the following numbers to find the final cache. Edgar has placed clues along the way, so you must visit all stages in order to decipher the code for the final.

42 08.ABC
072 00.DEF

When you are ready, locate the Mountain Laurel Trail and follow Yellow; then use the Evergreen Trail, or shortcut with the red trail.
