Bolinas Ridge Traditional Cache
geodarts: I am no longer in a position to maintain this cache and most of the locals have already appreciated the Parking Meter hide. Fortunately a friend volunteered to retrieve the container and repurpose it.

The Bolinas Ridge trail takes you from a redwood grove past places where the view opens up over the Tamalpais Watershed or the Bolinas Lagoon.
The trailhead begins at the corner of the Bolinas-Fairfax Road and Ridgecrest Boulevard, where a lodge (Summit House) once stood. The fire road starts in a redwood grove and continues along the ridge.
Although my GPSr showed a 25 foot accuracy, there is tree cover so your coordinates might vary. he location has changed significantly since I first placed this cache -- SOD has swept through the area -- so I moved the container to a spot where there should be easier access -- go just past a clump of stumps and redwoods just to the right of the fire road and take the relatively clear route to the cache. The container is in plain sight once you find the right place to look, but be sure to bring your keys, a pocket knife, or a flat screwdriver -- you will need this type of tool once you have found the cache.
As usual, when you are hiking through an area infested with SOD, make sure you clean your shoes afterwards -- particularly if the area is wet.
