This cache is located in Weir Reserve on the banks of the Nepean
River.
The reserve gets its name from the weir that is at the bottom of
the park. The weir is historical and was built to keep the river
upstream at a controllable level.
The walk down beside the river and under the bridges is very
pleasant with views of both sides of the Victoria Bridge.
There is also shelter to accommodate garden weddings and
ceremonies. Swimming and fishing are prohibited because of the
dangerous currents.
This place is often muggle central so the difficulty rating
reflects that.
Just past the weir you'll notice that they are building a new
cycleway that will allow you to travel north beside the river. The
council is spending $1 million on it.
The gates close just after sunset, but it's not a long walk in
from there.
