Placed for GAG8 and should not be sought until 6pm, 28 April 2006.
Down town Ottawa is rich with geocaches for the out-of-towner
visiting the city on business. Exhausted by a day of meetings,
conferences, seminars or networking, the weary traveler can renew
their energies with this quick cache hunt. It’s located in a quiet
little spot in the Byward Market, easy walking distance from the
major hotels. On a warm summer night it will be no doubt be a Zen
like experience, in the presence of soft illumination and the sound
of gently running water. That or creepy with strange nightlife.
At the posted coordinates is a plaque that describes several
nearby artistic creations. One of them is related to navigation.
Find that item. The cache is at bearing 142º True North, 19 meters
from this item.
Note: Another plaque at the north end of Waller Mall states it
is closed from 11pm to 5 am.
26 Sep 2006: Replaced the lost cache which
was muggled. Same location, smaller container. Security cameras
have been installed and classical music now plays over loud
speakers, which repells the teenagers and homeless. Please,
continue to use extreme stealth!
