The Home Where Kay's Heart Is
Kay Cache #7
Cache is located off George Street out in Mira Road and should be a
quick find. Please trade equal or better and do not take anything
unless you leave something. There is alot of people that never
trade but when they see something they want they just take it.
Please be respectful of others and do not take anything unless you
intend to leave something. The cache loves to have Travel Bugs left
here but if you leave one please do not take a trade item unless
you also leave a trade item, otherwise the cache will keep losing
trade items. Cache contains log, pen/pencil, and trade items.
Enjoy!
After finishing school and getting married Kay and Kenny moved
out on their own to start their new life together. They first moved
into an apartment on Apple Street and then their first child came.
Born on August 8, 1973 at 2:30am and weighing 5 pounds 3 ounces,
Wayne was born. In March they moved into a new apartment on Ball
Street. Then on August 15, 1975 they had their second child. Shauna
was born at 2:30 am and weighted 2 pound 3 ounces. They started
finding the apartment lifestyle too small and cramped for their new
lifestyle and so they purchased a home out in the country from one
of Kenny's relatives for $500. The new home was a simple single
level wood shingled home with a basement and nice size yard.
Unfortantely the yard was mostly slate and for the next two years
it took them alot of work to dinomite the yard and get it into nice
shape, though the back yard still has alot of slate. Then they
filled the back yard with big gardens and a little shed. In the
front yard they added a patio, hedge and flower gardens. Then on
August 18, 1977 along came Jennifer, born at 2:30 am, weighing 2
pound 3 ounces. The home grew over the years and so did the family.
On June 26, 1999 Melissa was born, she came into the world at 2:30
am, weighing 2 pounds 7 ounces. This was the last of the Ferrar
family but they did have many pets throught the years, from cats to
rabbits to a pig, from turkeys to chickens to fish and a gerbil.
They always had a dog or two, they were never without a dog.

I could not wait to move out with Kenny and start this new and
exciting journey with him. At first it was nice in the apartments
but I found them cramped and with children the stairs in apartments
were dangerous. I was glad when we moved out and into our own place
and I loved the quiet nature of the country. The house itself was
very nice and filled our need, but the yard was a mess. It took up
years to finally get it to where you could work with it. Every year
we would have a flower and vegetable garden, I loved gardening. It
was very peacful and it got you out side all day.
