A level stroll on an old railway trail.
This is one of a number of caches placed for the 'Step into Cheshire' event with the intention of encouraging people to explore the Cheshire countryside (see web page listed at top of page). The original cache was removed by persons unknown and this is the replacement at a different location towards the western end of the trail.
The Wheelock Rail Trail runs along part of the former Sandbach to Alsager railway line and links to the towpath of the Trent & Mersey Canal. The route is available for walking and cycling but do take care if you are crossing the Wheelock Bypass which has fast traffic.
The cache is a standard sandwich box and initially contains a variety of goodies, some with a Cheshire theme.
