J5 Crew: It was a good run, but I decided today to archive this cache after discovering it was missing.

This cache is located in the Pacheco Valle and Loma Verde Open Space Preserve and is part of a 3-mile hiking-caching loop that I have put together along the Little Cat, Chicken Shack, and Ponti fire roads. The loopis very steep and challenging at times, but there is plenty of reward with beautiful views and up to 15 caches to find along the way!
To start your adventure, it is recommended that you park either at: (1) N38º 02.870 W122º 32.588 for the Little Cat fire road trailhead, which is at N38º 02.881 W122º 32.620; or (2) N38º 02.801 W122º 32.718 for the Ponti fire road trailhead, which is at N38º 02.809 W122º 32.735.
NOTE: Do not get confused by several closure signs along the Ponti fire road. The Ponti fire road is closed only to vehicular traffic due to a landslide, but hikers, bikers, and equestrians are permitted to pass.
The cache is a very small micro container with only a log. Please bring a pen! Be careful, the camouflage may startle some faint-of-heart types, like Bob Wilkins did in the 1970s!
