This area of the Durfee Hill Wildlife Management Area is called
‘Hemlock Ledges’, named for the very long stretch of exposed ledge
which the trail follows for about a 1/2 mile. Be careful of local
traffic as the trailhead is diagonally across the road from the
parking area. Gps readings are erratic in the area of the cache so
co-ordinates may be inaccurate. Hopefully the hint will help. Also
note that ‘Durfee Hill I’ (GCVE5C) is located just a short hike
further down the trail.
Maps are available at the DEM Website.
All users of state management areas, and
all hunters statewide, must wear at least 200 square inches of
solid daylight-fluorescent orange material from the first Saturday
of October through the end of the season, February 28.
