God Bless America

This cache is just over a mile from the entrance to Daley Ranch off of La Honda Drive. about 300ft off the Coyote Run Trail. There is a small animal trail that leads to an outcrop of large flatish rocks. No danger to vegitation because the animal trail and rocks protect it. The view from the top of the largest rock is spectacular and you can see both Escondido and Valley Center. It's a great place to rest and take a break. An easy hike for a family outing and not to strenuous for children or pets.

(The cache is in an Ammo Box)

A travel bug was placed in this cache to honor Major Gannon. He was a local boy from Escondido and spent most of his life hiking in these hills. His home is on the border of the Daley Ranch, where his family still lives. The travelbug is named "Major Gannon - Jedi Knight" and has been deployed to all the National Parks in the USA.

This cache was placed by the mother of Major Richard Gannon, a proud American.
