A short walk by a big dam will bring you to this well hidden cache.
This cache is located in Mathiasville...not really a town anymore. The big dam holds back a body of water called Orillia Lake...no where near Orillia but the falls were once used to generate electricity for that town.
This is also a good place to park the car and unload your bikes for a pleasant ride along the South Muskoka River.
This cache was placed as part of the 2nd Series of caches by the Central Ontario Geocachers. COG members are fortunate to live in a beautiful and varied part of the province. These caches are our way of sharing the places in which we live with everybody. If you don't live in Central Ontario we hope you'll visit and enjoy Central Ontario and if you live in the area, we hope this shows you something new of our beautiful region.
