Along side McKay creek, close enough to view, but the cache won't get wet. If you have kids, they'll enjoy throwing rocks in the water. You will need to park and walk a couple hundred yards to the treasure.
It was a nice Sunday afternoon and Lil'K and I decided to go out and find a spot for her to hide her treasure chest. We scoured the house and found quite a few goodies to put inside, along with a couple of Travel Bugs.
Then we set out along McKay Creek just upstream from where it enters McKay Reservoir. She found a nice location close enough to toss rocks in the water, and thus an hour later we left.
The reservoir is a nice location for fisherman in the spring hoping to catch trout, perch, or bass. Later in the summer you may see water sports take over. In the winter they lock the gates and the area becomes closed to the public.
