Flash Cache (Essex) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

qichina: Sadly, I'm archiving this cache because Groundspeak is increasingly imposing pointless and unreasonable "rules" that are not published in the public domain. I do not accept that this is fair practice. There is no independent review body to appeal reviewer's apparently arbitrary decisions.

Normal businesses do not require total and absolute obedience from their customers.

Geocache Description:

This cache replaces the late Stumpish cache, may it rest in peace. There’s no bling bling (or Bing Bing for those Katherine Tate fans) but we believe a nearby tree was hit by lightening, hence the cache name. The degree of difficulty reflects the heavy tree coverage in the area. We had an accuracy of around 30 feet when this cache was placed.

The cache is located in Little Warley Common area of Thorndon Country Park, (not far from Walk on the Wildside). We suggest parking at the Countryside Centre off of The Avenue. There is a fee for parking: £2 for the whole day. Here you will find toilets and a very interesting park centre. There are also picnic tables and a play area for kids. Why not make a day out it and find the other caches in the park?

The cache is a large ammo box with a green geocaching sticker on it. There are the usual items in the cache including a logbook and pen.

PLEASE NOTE: This cache is part of the Thorndon Park Bonus Cache. A link to the cache page is here.

Good luck and have fun!!
