Skookum Bear: Cache Owner,

As you have not indicated that you have visited your cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Thank you for your contribution to geocaching.

Set your odometer at 0 when you turn left (heading north) off Hway 99, a few kms north of the Cheakamus Canyon, and 1 km south of Daisy Lake. The road can apparently be driven up to the 6.9 km point in 2 wd vehicles, and beyond in HC 4 wd vehicles. However, it's plowed only to 1.7 km in winter. On April 22, 2006, we drove our 2 wd van to 4 km, and snowshoed from there (see map).

The cache is at 9.3 kms from the hwy turnoff, at the Brew Lake trailhead, hidden behind the gnarled, scrawny tree on the left (see photo). The Brew Lake TH is marked with orange markers just ahead, or you can keep going up the hill for more westerly views (see photo). Look east for great views of Mt Garibaldi (see photo).
